Buddhism has great influence on daily life of the Myanmar. The people have preserved the traditions of close family ties, respect for the elders, reverence for Buddhism and simple native dress. Myanmar people are contented and cheerful even in the face of adversities and known for their simple hospitality, openness and friendliness. Most people who visit are struck by the warm and welcoming nature of the locals.
