Announcement on Extension of the Precautionary Restriction Measures Relating to Control of the COVID-19 Pandemic until 15 December 2020

1. With a view to the further strengthening of measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has issued the following announcements regarding temporary entry restrictions for visitors from all countries. All those restrictions were extended until 30 November 2020 by the Ministry’s announcement dated 27 October 2020.

IT is announced that public statements, orders, notifications, and directives (excluding eased restrictions) of the Union-level organizations and the Union ministries effective until 30 November 2020 for protection, control and prevention of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) will be extended to 15 December 2020 as it is required to continue containment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Announcement on legal actions against electoral frauds

1.U Kyaw Soe Khaing, who lives in Kabo Village, Kabo Village Tract, TadaU Township, Kyaukse District in Mandalay Region, cast his votes at polling station No 1 in Kabo Village and then he voted again at polling station No 1 in Kya Swel Village. It was found that he voted twice.

1.The National Reconciliation and Peace Centre is making strenuous effort into national reconciliation, Union peace, democratic reform and establishment of a federal Union. The four sessions of Union Peace Conference—21st Century Panglong have been held, and agreements have been made on the implementation of phase by phase concrete work plans for building a Democratic Federal Union in the post-2020. Informal meetings were also held with ethnic armed organi-zations in the post-conference.
